About Us

Founded in 1968 with eight members, and a Charter Member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics, we are a group that enjoys all types of radio controlled aircraft.  The club was started under a different name and changed to R.A.M.S. when it was incorporated because the old name was too close to another radio club.  We have two charter members that are still active in the club today! 

Our first field was at
Dan Nicholas Park near
the tennis courts are today.

We moved to our current
field in 1969.

We fly at our own field as
often as the weather will allow us to fly there.  We also fly twice a year at Dan Nicholas Park to try to bring awareness to our club, at fly-ins sponsored by other clubs, and at other times during the year at special events. 

You can usually find someone flying at

our field most Saturdays and Sundays.
